At Legends Steakhouse, we’re not just serving meals — we’re serving moments worth remembering.

Our story began in 1988, when Johnny Fleeman purchased The Brass Lantern in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He saw a simple but powerful shift happening: more families were choosing to dine out, looking for great food, warm service, and a place that felt like home. Inspired by that vision, Johnny opened the first Legends Steakhouse in Columbia in 1993 — bringing big-city quality to small-town Tennessee.

The name “Legends” came from an unlikely source: a Packard Bell computer model — the Legend 386 — spotted in a small office. But it stuck. Because Johnny wasn’t just building a restaurant. He was building a place to honor the legendary people, stories, and traditions of the communities we call home.

Since day one, we’ve stayed true to the values that sparked it all: real hospitality, made-from-scratch meals, and a deep respect for our guests. Many of our recipes are passed down from Johnny’s mother, Faye. Every dish is prepared with care, every ingredient hand-selected, and every guest treated like family — because to us, they are.

Over the years, Legends has grown into a family of casual, family-friendly steakhouses across Tennessee, known for classic American steakhouse fare with a Southern touch. But our mission hasn’t changed: serve great food, offer genuine service, and create a place where people feel at home.

We believe that legendary experiences don’t happen by accident — they’re built with heart, consistency, and the belief that 100% guest satisfaction isn’t a goal; it’s the standard.

So whether you're celebrating a special moment or simply craving a great steak, we’re here to make it memorable.
